Outdoor Equipment Distributors, Inc. (OED) is a family owned and operated business that was founded originally in 1931 as Raleigh Auto Supply Company. The purchase of twenty-five mowers in 1955 changed the history of our company. As other similar lines were acquired, OED converted entirely to the distribution of outdoor power equipment through independent dealers. We currently service over 600 dealers across our sales territory.

In 1969 we changed our name to Outdoor Equipment Distributors, Inc. to accurately reflect the nature of our business. Since that time, OED has continued to grow steadily. We have added new product lines when we thought they would complement our existing lines or
add value to our customers.

In 2002 we realized that we needed a larger facility to better serve our customers' needs. We moved into our
present facility of approximately 81,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. This move increased our
office to accommodate additional employees and on-site training for dealers. It also increased our parts and warehouse space tremendously.

In 2009, we expanded our footprint by adding Northern Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, and Delaware to our sales territory. In 2011, we added Alabama. OED currently
has 25 internal employees and 9 outside Territory Managers and Product Training Specialists.

With the advent of new technology, OED has streamlined many of our order processing and shipping capabilities to provide our customers with a quicker turnaround on orders. Our entire warehouse is computerized and bar coded for more efficient inventory management.

Outdoor Equipment Distributors, Inc. will never rest on our accomplishments. We are always striving to find a more efficient way of bringing quality products to our customers' doorstep, with the least amount of time and cost involved.
